Hi there, I’m Sarah
I live in the beautiful north-east of England with one husband, two daughters, a guinea pig and a Cavapoo puppy, so I’m pretty familiar with juggling endless demands and wearing many different hats.
As a self-published author myself, with an audiobook nominated for an award recently, I know how much hard work goes into a manuscript. I also know that once it’s finished, a huge amount of stamina and determination and perseverance is needed to get your book into someone’s hands (or ears). Which is where I can help!
My unique background in journalism, PR, writing and education has given me the skills and experience to provide effective support and solutions when you are feeling overwhelmed.
Working as both a reporter and press officer has given me a keen nose for a story and what hooks people into yours. It also gave me an enormous amount of tenacity and resilience and turned me into a deadline junkie who thrives under a bit of pressure.
Teaching in primary schools has taught me patience and compassion, resilience and adaptability, how to prioritise, and how to communicate clearly. It has also given me the ability to build relationships with a wide range of people, to manage complex projects under pressure, and to embrace change and chaos. Oh, and I’m quite good at organising everyone and everything around me too.
After dreaming of working in the publishing world for many years, I launched Sarah Wallace VA and I’m so delighted to be working with authors and creative folk, giving them the time and space to focus on the important stuff.
