Hi there, I’m Sarah
I live in the beautiful north-east of England with one husband, two daughters, a guinea pig and a Cavapoo — so I'm pretty well versed in juggling endless demands and wearing many different hats.
My background isn't a straight line, which is exactly what sets me apart. I've worked as a journalist, a press officer, and a primary school teacher — three very different jobs that all rely on the same strengths: communicating clearly, building solid relationships, and getting things done under pressure.
Working as a reporter and press officer gave me a nose for a story, a big dollop of tenacity, and a deep appreciation for a good deadline. Teaching gave me patience, adaptability, and the kind of calm-in-the-chaos that comes from managing thirty 7-year-olds on a Friday afternoon. Leading on both reading and computing, I had a lot of fun with words and tech — which has turned out to be a hugely useful combination.
